With a teething 8 month old I need to be careful with what I wear, anything that can be grabbed goes in the mouth. I have found that I don't tend to wear much jewellery anymore as it poses a choking risk. Then I came across Bubba Chew silicone teething jewellery.
We were sent two VTech toys to review. The Feed Me Dino and the Turn & Learn Cube. I have always been interested in VTech toys as I associate them with learning through play and refining motor skills.
I had the opportunity to try the Geomag e-motion magnetic construction set. In the kit I got magnetic construction pieces, plastic framework pieces and a set of instructions.
One of the things I liked about the Geomag magnetic construction set is that the instructions are in picture form, so younger children who may not be able to read on their own should still be able to follow the instructions. It also allows your child room for creative play, as they can form the magnetic pieces in multiple other shapes other than what is detailed on the instruction sheets.
It took me about 5 minutes to make the shapes detailed in the instructions, but it would take younger children much longer than that. The e-motion set did have several small parts and would not be suitable for children who still like to put things in their mouth.
Geomag offers a range of products suitable for those from 10 months onwards.
We got our craft on with Clever Patch.
I love craft and I think it's an essential tool of child development. Children get to finesse their motor skills while learning how to follow instructions. There is also scope for creativity and imagination to come into play as children make craft activities their own.
I've looked for craft supplies in shopping centres and have mostly left empty handed, either because I couldn't find what I was looking for or because they cost too much.
When the team at Clever Patch sent over some craft supplies I was excited to get crafty.
Each craft activity comes with it's own instructions which are clearly outlined and easy to follow.
I made this beautiful sun catcher and this bookworm book mark. I was impressed by the quality of the craft supplies and that what I made looked exactly like what was pictured. I was really happy about this as it's a pet peeve of mine when things don't look as good as they have been represented.
