Early in the month you find yourself juggling family and career commitments as Jupiter opposes Uranus on the 2nd. You may also be looking to get more balance in your family life, but find a boss or sheer workload is making that difficult to manage. Still, you will pick family first wherever you possibly can.
Venus retrogrades in Aries from the 4th, in your 10th house. You aren’t keen to be in the spotlight at work in in business situations during this transit and perhaps that’s partially because you want others to step forward and show their mettle. There is a juggling act going on in your life, and work commitments can be managed by perhaps pushing for someone you’ve mentored to take on more responsibility, or be delegating out some of your tasks. Don’t go for any big image changes in your career or business while Venus is retrograde, you will probably find the results wont work out the way you hoped over the longer term.
Mars enters Taurus on the 9th, in your 11th house. While this puts a lot of socializing on your agenda, it tends to be closer to home, or be fairly low key. You are also looking for stable types in collaborations on projects or group situations. You want to know that you can rely on people to pull their weight and do what they say they will do.
A Full moon in Virgo on the 12th falls in your 3rd house. A communication matter could be finalized now, or you see some sort of result happen for a sibling that they have been working towards. There may also be a need to travel a short distance from home now, perhaps just to have a break and recharge. Your 9th house is involved in this full moon, as is your house of partnerships. You could be looking at taking a longer distance trip, which involves some sort of physical training such as a walking holiday. If so you may do something locally to get yourself in shape for your trip. However, Saturn clashes with this moon in your 6th house so you could find you aren’t in the physical condition you had hoped to be by now, or that other daily routine matters are holding you up from your plans.
Mercury enters Aries on the 13th, your 10th house. Communication at work and in business is working beautifully for you and there is no holding you back from pushing your agenda and asserting yourself. You could tend towards the impatient when others don’t get back to you straight away, or try and stall your plans. This really is the ideal time to move forward with all communication and negotiation related items, as we will see Mercury turn retrograde next month, which will bring delay and obfuscation.
The Sun enters Aries on the 20th and this puts you front and center at work. Family may have to take a back seat for the remainder of the month and that could lead to a blow up towards the end of March, which I will cover a little later. On the 27th a New Moon in Aries has your career or business at the top of your mind. You can start something fresh now, or take the next steps towards an important goal. However, there may be too much on your plate, or a need to be more realistic about what you can achieve. Try to give yourself a longer timeline and not do everything all at once.
Jupiter and Pluto clash on the 30th and this is where family and partnership matters cause you headaches. With so much going on in your career or business you may be neglecting family duties and getting hell for it from your spouse. Or you decide to priorities family and a business partner is less than impressed when there is so much ramping up on the career front.
Mercury moves into Taurus on the 31st, your 11th house. There is a lot of communication with friends and collaborators now, but you don’t want to make any firm decisions about anything. It’s also not the time to take anyone’s bad moods or not getting back to you too seriously. Mercury will retrograde from the 9th April and the slow down is already apparent at this point. Try to be patient with friends, and leave any major decisions or purchases until mid May if you can.
4th - 10th July
Work matters are your big focus this week and you can come through them smelling like roses. But not without some difficult moments with those you are in partnership with either in business or your colleagues. Partnerships are tough to navigate and it can be hard to get people to agree with a course of action. With Venus and Mercury both clashing with Uranus, your ability to listen to a number of perspectives will help you get ahead.
Please check back tomorrow
Cancer you have some beautiful days for love and romance this year, but on the whole a lot of your energy is going to be directed towards your financial situation. In early March an opposition between Jupiter and Uranus can see a friend help you out in an unexpected way with your love life or on a creative mission. Perhaps you hear the advice you need to set you on a new course in love, or a friend introduces you to someone you find interesting.
Late in March we see issues coming up for you around a partnership and your family with something around your home being in up in the air. Are you selling real estate due to a marriage breakdown, or has a family member left you an inheritance that could be questioned by others? Perhaps you find that a partnership isn’t in the best interest of your family, and decide you need to move on and meet someone new. We don’t see love being a big focus for you again until October. That’s not to say you can’t have romantic moments in the intervening months, it’s just not going to be as high a priority for you for some reason.
It turns out it doesn’t much matter anyway because the big news for you this year and for most of next year arrives in October. On October 10th Jupiter finishes up a year long stay in Libra and enters Scorpio which is in your 5th house of romance, creativity and children. Jupiter is the planet of gifts, and the luck we make for ourselves. With Jupiter in Scorpio, all the big news will be happening in your love life from now until November 2018. I think this more than makes up for some quiet months on the romantic front in 2017. Right after Jupiter moves into Scorpio, Mercury follows suit, followed by the Sun towards the end of October and then Venus in early November. This is a period when love is working in a way you like, or you are meeting lots of people and could have an embarrassment of riches in your love life. It’s also a highly fertile period when you may decide to have children, or add to your family.
Creatively, Jupiter in your 5th house is like having the nine muses dancing around you and inspiring you to great work. You must create your own luck with Jupiter, the luck is in the not needing to strive so hard to find the brilliance inside of you. Musicians, painters, writers, actors and poets born under the sign of Cancer or with a Cancer ascendant or Venus in Cancer, can make something truly beautiful or inspiring with Jupiter in Scorpio. Get started on that project, or on a new chapter in your love life around November 18, when a new moon in Scorpio sets you up for the coming six months. If you are still procrastinating on this into December, Mars’ entry into Scorpio will ignite your passion to create, or to love, and inspire you to bold action.
Business and career opportunities have some real high points for you in 2017, but again, you are more interested in the money side of things for most of the year. This is somewhat unusual as most of us would say that our jobs or our businesses are where we are likely to make our fortunes, and while you do have some aspects that indicate money coming to you from these areas, there is something else going on which is outside of those traditional forms of income.
Venus retrogrades in your 10th house through March and the first days of April and if you are in a creative field this can leave you feeling stuck. It may feel as though all your inspiration has dried up, writers block may have set in, or you just can’t get anywhere with projects that related to making something beautiful. Products could be not as aesthetically appealing as you hoped with your customers. If you own a shop, the flow could be all wrong and turning people off in some way.
For a painter, there could be lots of painting over canvases, and a feeling of frustration when things don’t turn out to be as good in real life as they were in your mind. While you have all of this going on you do have a new moon in Aries at the end of March, this could be the perfect time to sit down and think of new goals, or to start over if it’s just not happening in the way you would like it to. There could be a lot of hard work involved in an overhaul on your work or project and that may feel daunting. But if you are stuck it might be better going back to basics and not trying to push ahead with something that has you running around in circles.
Retrograde Venus enters Pisces in early April and this provides you with some relief, however we then see Mercury enter the fray, as it turns retrograde April 20th in your 10th house. Just as you start to get your inspiration again, other things are stepping in to cause delays or slow you down. The good news is that by the end of April, Venus has moved back into Aries and your 10th house, and right afterward, in the first days of May, Mercury turns direct in Aries and your 10th house. It will be as though you go from feeling you are empty of inspiration, to being embarrassingly rich in ideas and options to help you reach them.
From early June Mars enters Cancer, this lights a rocket under your ideas, and sees you in a flurry of activity. Work and business are moving fast now and this will only become more obvious as you reach mid June when the Sun, and Mercury enter your sign. As soon as they do you have the influence of a new moon in Cancer and your 10th house to really get you going, there is nothing but positive supports for this moon. Mark out June 23rd and the days surrounding it as big for your career.
Another big moment comes for you October 5th when a full moon in Aries brings rewards from your hard work. There are concrete results now, or you know how the effort you’ve made will repay you. November 11th is another stand out day when your hard work is paying off, you could hear some unexpected news professionally that really pleases you.
There is something happening for you this year around your finances that isn’t linked to your career or business, or it’s possible that it is not linked to what you do right now. There may be some other opportunity coming up for you, or a decision that will be made to pursue something new which will bring you more money. A full moon Lunar eclipse in Leo, February 10th, sees this become obvious to you. It’s something that has come up before in the last 6 to 18 months and either you didn’t pursue it at the time, or there was something that just wasn’t working out and needed to be adjusted.
Perhaps you were promised something and it is only now that it is coming back to you, or getting to you. Family comes up on this this day with Jupiter in Libra, so there may be an inheritance, a loan or some other form of help that is either cash, or you can turn into cash. You then have a period of 5 months where money is either taking care of itself or you are busy working away at your plans. There are so many aspects indicating that you are working on something new, or away from what you normally do. This could be occupying your time, but not yet showing you any tangible benefit. This changes in early July when Mercury enters Leo, followed by Mars, the Sun and then a lovely new moon on July 23rd in Leo. Again there is an aspect around this new moon that sees money and your career in conflict.
Yet you have lovely stars for financial news or actions you've taken working well for you. I keep seeing money aspects for you that either only touch on your 10th house briefly, or are conflicted with your 10th house. One of the ways this may come up is if you are going into direct competition with a place that you have worked before, or are still working and haven’t left yet. Be mindful of doing the right thing, but if you know you can do something better, it’s worth exploring your options.
A full moon Lunar Eclipse August 7th, brings change, transformation, contracts, and family into money matters yet again. This is a standout eclipse for your finances, and with it occurring in Aquarius, perhaps you are on the cutting edge of something, or have seen an opportunity to build a business where you can see that there is a market that will only grow bigger as the years go on. This is followed by a New moon solar eclipse in Leo, August 21st and this is the gold standard for money. Perhaps that’s understating things, it’s more like the platinum standard for financial matters. You have this new moon teaming up with the Sun, mars, Mercury, Uranus and Saturn all in your 2nd house of money. This is a day to mark down tow watch how financial issues play out. If you haven’t come up with a big idea yet, sit down and do some thinking about where there is a gap or opportunity that you can pursue. Two Eclipses in the same month, both all over your 2nd house of money, you need to be on top of this Cancer.
