AMN: What inspired you to start Business School for Mums?
BSFM: Business School for mums was inspired by Anna’s work as a life coach. Her personal coaching business works to help women reinvent themselves on the other side of motherhood. Through her work she noticed a recurring theme amongst her clients – with women wanting to create something for themselves from home so they could be there for their kids – but also have an outlet for growth and a means to bring in further income for the household. The problem was that most of the women she came across lacked detailed business knowledge and were also lacking in confidence, having been through the ground hog of the early years of parenting.
It quickly became evident there was a need out there for both emotional and business support for these women to facilitate the lifestyle they wanted. With her business experience in corporate and training as a life coach Anna began toying with the idea of writing a course – and it was around this time she was introduced to Florencia. Florencia a Marketing Coach held the missing pieces to the puzzle of creating a comprehensive course that covered – business skills, emotional coaching and marketing strategy.
With a solid vision, Anna and Florencia took their idea from conception to launch in 6 weeks flat – welcoming 20 women on their first intake in November 2015.

AMN: Who will get the most out of your program?
BSFM: Women in their early years of business.
This course literally steps you through the core must haves of setting up a business from scratch to ensure it has a solid foundation to ensure profit and growth.
Some women come to us with an idea (or a few) – and we help them to work them through and take them from conception to launch. Others come to us with an already established business that is not delivering them results, and we help them rebuild it for success.
It’s very common for small business owners to miss vital steps of planning and strategy in the fervor of setting up their business. We take them back to the beginning and help them create or refine their model so that it will deliver results.
AMN: How do you run the classes?
BSFM: We run our classes LIVE via online webinars in the evenings, at 8pm EST once the kids are all (theoretically!) in bed.
Accompanying the live online classes, our students have access to a membership site – with support material in the form of videos, audio, workbooks, templates and exercises. We’ve created different learning formats for our students because we’re conscious that everyone consumes information differently.
And alongside this, we have a private members Facebook group, which we visit daily to offer further support and guidance.
Is there any assumed knowledge prior to starting the course or is it suitable for someone just starting in business?
This course is suitable for women just starting and those in their early years struggling to get results.
AMN: What do you think sets you apart from other business schools?
BSFM: What makes us different as a business school – is the emotional and mindset coaching we offer as part of our program. It may not be the first thing women think they need when coming to us for their business – but it certainly proves to be the thing that creates the greatest transformation on their journey.
Whilst we deliver detailed skills for business to ensure success - it’s being able to apply these skills with the right mindset and a sense of belief and certainty that leads our students to really go for it and make things happen.
